A bubbling river over pebbles doth run
Much like the heat from the rays of the sun
In September the leaves of a tree doth fall
Sounding much lik a whooperwill's distant call
Soft almost silent yet for those who know
It cometh like the air of a trumpets blow
All things in comparison are much to the like
Yet all things differ from forest glade to mountain peak
A beauty is evident in all that is seen
And we must tell the children we ween
Nature was here long before man
Nature's survival was God's master plan
A tree can stand for all eternity
Such an ancient thing is magnificent to see
Nature shall strive over any tribe or race
Even when Satan rears his ugly face
Nature is strong, it will never fall
Nature survives below nothing, above all
Written by Dan Johnson during his college years.
